Still Life Farm, Hardwick, MA
Year Round Vegetables and Fruits
Halley & Curtis Stillman
Once the Hardwick Poor Farm, circa 1850, Still Life Fruit Farm is flourishing today thanks to the efforts of owners and husband and wife team, Curtis and Halley.
Curtis purchased Still Life Farm in May of 2010 and has been reclaiming the property ever since, removing large stands of invasive multi-flora rose and planting new orchards and row crops! He is a graduate of University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in Plant and Soil Science. He spent his younger years learning to farm alongside his father Glenn, who owns Stillman's Farm. Curtis aspires to grow the business into a diverse fruit and vegetable farm.
Halley is a graduate of Friends University in Wichita KS. She graduated with a B.S. in both Field Biology and Zoo Science. She has vegetable growing experience at Stillman's Farm and Bear Hill Farm, and her many years as a volunteer at Heifer Project in Rutland, MA make her an old hand at animal husbandry.
Curtis and Halley were married in August of 2014 and have been running the farm together full-time ever since, welcoming the next generation of farmers with the birth of their son, Kip, in the winter of 2020.
Lilac Hedge Farm, Rutland Ma.
Pasture Raised Chicken, Duck, Turkey, Pork & Beef
Ryan MacKay
https://lilachedgefarm.com/farming-practices
Responsibly taking care of our 500 acres of farmland is our top priority. Healthy soils grow healthy crops and, in turn, nourish healthy animals. We minimize our environmental impact by implementing practices that conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and protect biodiversity.
We are proud to preserve our land and keep it in agriculture. With over 125 acres of fenced-in pasture, untouched by synthetic fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides, our animals move to fresh grass during the growing season. All animals and pastures have a prescribed rotational grazing plan developed in our partnership with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS).
We care for our own pastures for grazing, as well as the fields that grow our hay which is harvested for year-round consumption. Investing in more land close to home is an investment both in our future as well as the environment. It ensures the land won't be developed, open space will be maintained, and we do not rely on distant sources to source hay for feed.
Front Yard Farm - Ware, MA
Heirloom Fruits & Vegetables, Free Range Eggs
Kelly Wheeler & Chris Allard
It all started with their desire to grow their own food - and it all started in their front yard. Today Kelly and Chris produce vegetables, fruits, and eggs on multiple acres and in several greenhouses.
All our products are raised using sustainable practices that feed the soil and utilize methods like crop rotation and row covering to avoid the use of harmful pesticides. We believe that for our gardens to be truly healthy, we need to support habitat for beneficial insects. We do this by avoiding pesticides and planting a large diversity of crops to support the "good bugs". Although we use a Beyond Organic methodology that is free from harmful pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs we are not certified by the USDA. However, we are committed to ensuring the health of our community and our environment which deeply informs our farming practices. Chemical free is the way to be!

The Petrie Family Farm - Brimfield, MA
Chemical Free Produce, Herbs & Flowers, Homestead Livestock Supply, Perennial & Vegetable Plants.
Jessica Petrie-Cummings & Brian Cummings
Though this property has been a sufficiency farm as far as I can trace, my parents William and Garma Petrie started their homestead here in 1982. Clydesdale horses dragged the logs from the forest for my father to build our home and sugar shack, while my mother planted crops and raised goats, chickens and rabbits. "Herbal Delights" was my mother's plant stand, where she shared her love of culinary and homeopathic herbs. Many of the varieties she grew can still be found here today! In 2015, I restarted the family farm in their honor. It has since grown, not only to sustain us, but a portion of our community as well. The Petrie Family farm grows non-GMO heirloom vegetables, fruits and herbs. We raise heritage animals and provide animals to other homesteads and hobby farmers.
In November, 2021, we were proud to be able to purchase this company, Farmer at the Door. After working with the prior owner since it's start it was the right fit for us as the right time. We hope you enjoy our vast selections and great customer service from our whole team!

Bucha Bros, Wales Ma.
Kombucha
Edward Fisher
Kombucha is a fermented tea, made by adding sugar to a black or green tea in the presence of a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast). While Kombucha is fermenting, the sugar and caffeine in the initial tea mixture is consumed by the SCOBY. After bottling, many of the microbes that make up the SCOBY are still present in the drink, making the drink similar to a probiotic. At Bucha Bros, our tea is always made using organic ingredients, we only rely on natural carbonation and we never pasteurize our Kombucha. This results in a Kombucha that is similar in flavor and texture to wine, compared to the fizzy drink that you typically find on grocery store shelves.
Brynne's Bread - Oakham, MA
Organic Breads & Baked Goods
Brynne Stark
Brynne Stark discovered her love for baking bread in her mid 20’s. Tired of the tasteless bread available in your typical supermarket, she decided to see what it took to bake a loaf of bread. Since that first loaf, Brynne’s appreciation for the simple ingredients of bread has grown. Being a believer in local foods, local farms and local business, Brynne has made sure to include not only the highest quality ingredients, but ingredients that might come from your neighbor or even the farm up the road.
Beginning by baking for a few friends and family, Brynne's Bread now has a large local following. Brynne continues to grow as a baker, attending workshops such as the Kneading Conference in Skowhegan, Maine and Shaping French Breads at King Arthur Flour in Norwich, VT. In 2017, Brynne and her husband Chris built a wood-fired, earthen oven, and in 2019 they built an adorable traveling bread caravan to take her goods to market.

M&M Family Farm, Brimfield Ma.
Goat Milk Soaps
Jennifer Mormile
What started out as a 4H project for my son, quickly grew into a larger dream. We were fortunate to find a beautiful property in Brimfield where we were able to expand our love for farming.
When my son outgrew his 4H project, I wanted a way to make extra money to support my hobby- without touching the household income! We began making goat milk soap and have continued to grow over the past 8 years. Currently, we raise Nubians and mini Nubians, Kunekune pigs, Red Bourbon turkeys, Silkie & Sizzle chickens, assorted colored egg layers, Cotton patch geese, Peach peacocks, and Welsh Harlequin ducks.
Seasonally, we make jams from the fruit on our property & offer raw honey from our bees. Raising USDA processed whole roaster meat birds is on the horizon too!
Please follow us on our facebook page to see what we have to offer throughout the year.
Grimes Apiary, Brookfield MA
Raw Honey
Donald Grimes
Our beekeeping interest started in 1981 when Donald Grimes wanted an agricultural hobby, and gravitated toward the one his uncle and great uncle enjoyed, even though he didn't like the taste of the honey his parents bought from the store. That year Donald attended the Worcester County Beekeepers Association annual bee school. After the completion of bee school, Donald purchased his first hive from legendary beekeeper Frank Lagrant of Ware, MA. He found the hives very interesting and would sit watching the honeybees fly in and out, wondering what actually was happening within the hive.
During Donald’s first year as a beekeeper he was only able to harvest 6 meager pounds of honey. While extracting it, Donald decided to try the fresh honey from his hive and to his surprise it was actually delicious - nothing like the honey that his parents purchased from the grocery store.
It has now been 32 years since Donald purchased his first hive. With the support of family and friends, Grimes Apiary has evolved from a single hive to a successful business serving the surrounding towns with 100% natural, pure, delicious raw honey and bee products.

Sturbridge Coffee Roasters opened in 2004 in historic Sturbridge, Mass., in a small space where beans were roasted and delicious coffee drinks were served to locals and tourists. Here, we are able to provide not only those same exceptional freshly roasted beans, but also additional seating and light lunches.
Turnabout Farm Baked Goods, Brookfield, MA
Small Batch Homemade Jams
Lee Fernandez
Lee Fernandez has been farming all her life. Sixteen years ago her family bought a small farm in Brookfield, where she lives today with her hubby, horses, dogs, cats, and one ridiculous rabbit. Creating foods from healthy, clean, responsibly raised produce has always been important to Lee, but now that her family is expanding it has become a mission - only the best for her treasured grandchildren.
Lee's jams are special - they are fruity delicious and very low in sugar. Almost all of the fruits she uses are grown locally. What she does not grow herself comes from fellow farmers who are as conscious of the dangers of chemicals and GMO's as Lee is. All her jams are gluten free, dairy free and vegan, and include a wide selection with wonderful flavor combinations. Give them a try and remember what a jam should taste like!

Maple Ledge Farm
Maple syrup & Maple products
Debbie and John Stevens
Maple Ledge Farm has been producing maple Products at their sugarhouse located at 131 Vinton rd, Holland mass since 1999.
Maple trees are tapped the beginning of February, sap is gathered and we start boiling by the end of the month. Sap flows best when the nights are freezing and the days are warm and sunny. And doesn’t flow if it is too warm or too cold. Water from the sap is removed using a wood fired evaporator until it is near syrup and and then is filtered and finished in a gas finishing pan. Some of the syrup is used to make maple candy and maple cream.
Visitors are welcome on the weekends from the end of February and through March, but it is best to call ahead or check our facebook status to make sure we are boiling. We host a free pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday during the third weekend of March and host private parties (school groups, scouts, etc) as scheduled.
You can find our more about our sugarhouse and the maple sugaring process or contact us at:

Here at Camp Ashleigh, we’re all about finding the magic! Whether it’s catching the light on the water, finding feathers on the path, planting flowers or carving out time to make memories - small moments tend to matter most. My wish is to bring some of that magic into focus and share with others as a reminder of the beauty within our ordinary lives. We don’t have to look far to find it - it's waiting for us to see it! Venezia Farms- Brimfield, Ma
Vermicast, Worms & Mushrooms
Joe Venezia
Venezia Farms is a family run wormery in Brimfield MA that produces incredibly diverse worm castings that we call "vermicast". We start by using three different species of composting worms which provide a great variety of beneficial microbes and bacteria. These worms live and thrive in a Commercial Flow Through (CFT) bin that allows for great air flow, moisture and space for the worms to move. The CFT also gives us access to vermicast without disturbing the worms and fungi network. We are also able to age our product for longer than 60 days within the CFT which creates an ideal aerobic environment for beneficial bacteria, nematodes and fungi to live and grow until we harvest and deliver to our customers. To practice our charter of sustainability the farm is completely off grid.
Our recipe for feeding the worms consists of diverse nutrient rich inputs. All the compost we use has been put through a full thermophilic decomposition process with temperatures above 131 for at least 3 days. Other inputs include organic food scraps, spent mushroom blocks and aged wood chips. This combination makes for great additions to seed starting mixes, top dressing indoor plants and feeding a 24 hour compost tea.
